With mabon upon us it is time to start making teas

Red clover's mild anti-inflammatory properties which make it useful in alleviating skin conditions such as eczema. In addition, they contain compounds which help to reduce airway congestion and sooth coughs. Red clover has antiviral and antifungal properties, has estrogen-like effects, is an antispasmodic and expectorant, has anticancer properties, and is an excellent blood purifier. Daisy strengthens the appetite and the metabolism. It stimulates the digestion and can also allay coughs. daisy tea can help against swollen feet because of it's diureting effects.
Red clover tea
- 1 tsp dried red clover flowers
- 1 c boiling water
- 1 tsp daisy petals
- honey to taste
- cinnamon stick and daisy bud for garnish
1. Mix the dried Clover flowers with hot Water add Daisy petals and Honey to taste
2. 1 Daisy bud with leaf or a Cinnamon stick for garnish Place the flowers and petals in a gauze wrap or tea ball and steep for 15 minutes. Remove and flavor with honey.


Tranquility Tea

1 c red clover blossoms
1 c rose hips
1/2 c german chamomile flowers
1/2 c peppermint leaves

 This makes 1 qt jar full of mix. To use simply fill a tea ball and put into boiling water and steep. Or put into  resealable teabags  like below and iron shut
