Nutmeg Bath to Change Your Luck-
6 tsp. ground Nutmeg
1 cup warm water
Coffee filter
Place the nutmeg in the coffee filter. Pour the one cup of warm water into the coffee filter and let the tea brew. When the liquid is cool, run a warm bath and pour the tea in the bath water. Soak at least ten minutes. This bath will cleanse the aura and dispel any negativity.
Essential Oil Facial Scrub
Try this soothing wrinkle reducing face scrub.
1/4 cup yogurt
1/4 cup cornmeal
5 drops Lavender essential oil
5 drops Grapefruit essential oil
Mix together and refrigerate a couple of hours before using.
Store in the refrigerator.
Comfrey oats facial scrub
This combination of comfrey and oats is quick and easy to prepare. Comfrey soothes the skin, and the oats draw oil and cosmetic residues out of the skin. This is a good blend for normal skin and a nice
alternative to moisture-robbing soap. makes 1 cup or 16 applications.
• 1/2 cup dried comfrey leaf
• 1/2 cup whole organic oats
Finely powder both ingredients and mix together. Use 1 heaping tablespoon of the scrub to approximately 1 teaspoon pure water or plain yogurt. Mix well to form a creamy paste. Apply to skin with a soft, wet cloth or sponge. Gently scrub face. Rinse with water. Store and use for 6 months.
Hot Cocoa bath (Janice Cox)
Milk baths are classic beauty basics. They are effective because the lactic acid in milk helps soften and soothe the skin. Chocolate milk is equally effective; combined with the power of honey, this yummy bath will refresh your skin. Be extra decadent and sip a cup of cocoa while bathing. It is especially relaxing in the evening before going to bed.
• 2 cups chocolate milk
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 2 tablespoons mild liquid soap
1. Stir together all ingredients.
2. Pour under the running water as you fill your tub.
3. Bathe and relax for 15 to 20 minutes.
Ginseng bathsoak
1/2 ounce ginseng Powder
1 ounce whole rose petals
1 ounce comfrey leaves
1 ounce finely ground almonds
1 ounce dried orange peel, cut and sifted
1 ounce red clover, cut and sifted
Mix all ingredients and place in a large airtight container. To use,place two tablespoons of the mixture into a bouquet garni bag, muslinsack, handkerchief, etc. and place under hot running water in
bathtub. If you don't have all of these ingredients handy, you should be able to find them easily from your local health food store.
