This blog is filled with lotions, oils, salves, beauty products, personal care products, bath products, cleaning products and just about anything you can make yourself, better and safer for your family. It is my way of making people aware of what is going "on and in" their own bodies, there by becoming healthier. The best thing we can give one another is our loving time. Please remember that with any new essential oil you try, there is a chance of allergies, so test first.

Essential Oils to Help Calm Everyone Down during holiday season
This is the time children (of all ages) are so terribly overactive, they don’t sleep and they are so excited for Christmas they can hardly stand it! Little ones are out of school, they are underfoot, they want to go see every single Santa at every single store to make sure he knows exactly what they want. You want everyone to calm down a little, and you especially want something to help them sleep so you have time to do what you need to do. Here are some ideas:
1. Holiday Helper Room Spray
40 drops Cedarwood
20 drops Roman Chamomile
20 drops Geranium
20 drops Orange
Add formula to a 4 ounce, fine mist spray bottle filled with water, shake well before every use, and liberally spray room before bedtime. Can refill water 3-5 times before needing to refill oils.
2. Put 1 drop Lavender and 1 drop Orange on pillowcase, or use 1 drop each of Sandalwood, Cedarwood and Frankincense.
3. Blends you can diffuse, put on pillowcases, or just open and sniff: Quiet Moments, Dreamer, Guardian, Love
4. Do something enjoyable: Have some hot chocolate, eat an orange, cuddle up on the couch with a good holiday movie and a warm blanket, go outside and throw snowballs, make snow angels, be a Christmas Phantom and drop anonymous plates of goodies off at the neighbors.
Most of all, make sure you are centered and relaxed. If just one adult is centered and grounded, it can go a long way to help the rest of the household settle down.
