Aromatherapy for children


Children feel and experience stress. They face day to day pressures and canbFind it difficult to deal with stressful situations. Aromatherapy can provide Comfort and support for both the parent and child. Refer to Guide below for the recommend dilutions for massage and skin
Applications. Never apply essential oil direct on children's skin as irritation can occur

The following dilutions are for children over 2 years of age.
First Day of School
Whether it’s your child's very first day at school or a start of a new year It can be a frightening and exciting time. This blend will help to calm Nerves and encourage concentration. Massage on feet before shoes are put on

(10ml = 1 dessertspoon)
1 drop Lime essential oil
1 drop Frankincense essential oil
10ml Base Cream

Bath time
An aromatic bath can help a child to relax and release any tensions Experienced throughout the day.
1 drop Lavender essential oil
1 drop Sandalwood essential oil
10ml Vegetable Glycerine or 2 capfuls of Pure Lavender Bubbles

Over Excitement
1 drop Mandarin essential oil
1 drop Lavender
10ml Vegetable Glycerine
Add to a warm bath and let child soak quietly (under supervision) for 5-10 Minutes while massaging their arms and legs. Add the essential oils to a Vapouriser. Remember to extinguish the flame before bedtime.


Massage & Skin Applications: It is important to follow the guidelines when Using oils for skin applications, so that skin irritation is avoided. You Will need to take into consideration the age of the person using the blend and  Whether the blend is for the face or the body.

Child (6 - 12 years)
2 drops
3 drops

Infant (2 - 5 years)
Carrier oil only
1 drop

Baby (6months to 2 years)
Carrier oil only
Carrier oil only

All concentrations are for 10 ml of carrier oil or cream base. Don’t forget about  Electric Oil Vapourisers. These are perfect To use in your children’s rooms. No candles, no over hot water. They are safe  To use and very economical. While these do use water, it is gently heated to Optimal level, (which is not a heat which is dangerous). If the water runs Out, they are still safe if left on.
