making cleaning supplies

Laundry soap

1/3 bar Fels Naptha or other type of soap, as listed above
½ cup washing soda
½ cup borax powder
~You will also need a small bucket, about 2 gallon size~

Grate the soap and put it in a sauce pan. Add 6 cups water and heat it
until the soap melts. Add the washing soda and the borax and stir until it
is dissolved. Remove from heat. Pour 4 cups hot water into the bucket.
Now add your soap mixture and stir. Now add 1 gallon plus 6 cups of water
and stir. Let the soap sit for about 24 hours and it will gel. You use ½
cup per load.

**A few things to note about the soap**

~The finished soap will not be a solid gel. It will be more of a watery gel
that has been accurately described as an "egg noodle soup" look.

~The soap is a low sudsing soap. So if you don’t see suds, that is ok.
Suds are not what does the cleaning, it is the ingredients in the soap.

Optional: If you want your soap to have some sort of scent you can scent
this with ½ to 1 oz. Of essential oil or fragrance oil of your choice. My
favorite scent is orange essential oil.

Floor and wall cleaner

Orange – 30 drops
Lemongrass – 20 drops
Spearmint – 10 drops
Emulsifier – 3 teaspoons
All Purpose Cleaner – 32 ounces

Blend the above then add all to a 2 ounces (1/4 cup) or less to a 1-2 gallon mop bucket and swish around and then mop floor or wipe down walls as you normally would. Rinse the walls if you desire. Let dry naturally.

This base cleaner is used in our own home a couple times a week to mop the floors. It gives it a nice refreshing scent.

Sweet dreams bedding spray

Lavender - 8 drops
Roman Chamomile - 4 drops
Orange - 4 drops
Ylang-Ylang 4 drops
Linen spray base – 2 oz

Shake well and spritz on pillow cases. Ideally best if sprayed 5-10 minutes prior to going to bed.
Let dry. Great for your guests. Great for kids too.

Tooth paste

baking soda
peppermint oil

Mix three parts baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) with one part table salt (sodium chloride).
Add three teaspoons of glycerine for every 1/4 cup of dry mixture.
Add enough water to make a thick paste. Add  a few drops of peppermint oil it is anitviral, antibiotic and it relieves pain..
Apply and use just as you would any other toothpaste. Store unused toothpaste at room temperature in a covered container.

can also use cinnamon oil or an herb oil

Tooth brush cleaner

Some essential oils are antiviral. What they actually do is stimulate the body's immune system.
Tea Tree is known to stimulate the production of T- cells in the blood. This is one way of using the oils as a preventative measure. Here's another:

Disinfect your toothbrushes using Tea Tree Oil
Kills germs, bacteria, fungi and viruses.

Soak for 10 minutes in a glass of water and
10 drops Tea Tree Oil.

Toilet Bowl cleaner

Shake ½ Cup of Borax
and 10 drops of tea tree essential oil into

give it a quick scrub with the toilet brush, close the lid and leave for
several hours or overnight. Scrub again, flush and delight in your
sparkling clean, fresh-smelling bowl
